  • Gave them new Navaneet books for practicing alphabets. Practiced a, aa, i, ee in the class.
  • Practice tracing alphabets a, aa, i and ee on the alphabet book. Ensure correct stroke order. Also please make sure that the students do not start writing letters that have not been taught in the class yet.
  • Check out a book from the library and read it with your student.

  • Practice saying numbers 1 through 25.
  • Check out a book from the library and read it with your student.
  • Important note for the parents: Please make sure that your student is completing the homework. Please converse with your children, at least a few sentences every day. Also during such time, encourage them to speak in Marathi.

  • Most students had not completed homework from the last class. Parents, repeat the homework from the last class.

  • Practiced the two songs for the next class - "Ek hoti Idali" and "Aabhaal vaajale." Kids are able sing with expressions and cohesion.
  • Revised alphabets and numbers.
  • Learn vegetable names: jaagar, kaanda, kobi, batata and bhenDi.
  • Game - Started the crossword puzzle, learned vocabulary words & numbers.
  • Talked in brief about festivals.
  • Please remember we have parent-teacher meeting on 3/20. We are also going to have our students sing two songs. Please help them memorize the same and sing with expression.
  • Kids were given alphabet cards. Explain the poem & recite it with kids with expressions everyday. We will have kids recite these small poems for letters during our next class.
  • Show your chidren the vegetables we learnt in the class and let them name them.
  • Go through the crossword puzzle & let them show and name as many real objects as possible.
